REGULATIONS AT YOUR ENTRANCE IN THE PARK

 

  • To remain vigilant and be aware with of falls of objects as with regard to the ground and the surrounding vegetation.

  • Respect all signs and markings

  • Respect the nature

  • Do not throw away cigarette butt

  • Do not light fire in the Park

  • Do not leave any garbage on the ground

 

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE ?

 

There are no age restrictions just weight and height restrictions that apply to courses, due to the nature and design of the courses.

 

  • All visitors must weigh under 100 KG (every body on the scale before to climb your way up)

  • Must measure at least 1,20m.

  • Be aware that it is an adrenaline experience so only people in good health condition can evolve in between the trees.  

  • Visitor participating to the adventure cannot present any indications of a psychological or physical disorder.

  • Must be able to raise arms over the head and climb ladder.

  • To not be pregnant

  • To wear appropriate clothes and shoes (check our dress code)

  • The activities practice is prohibited to any person having consumed drugs, alcohol or any other substances, which could alter the visitors’ behaviour and capacities.

  • Must read and stamp (right thumbprint) the liability waiver/release of liability form in completion. The children

  • Must complete Initiation Session in 2 steps: Briefing+ Training

 

 

DRESS CODE

 

  • Compulsory: To wear flat-soled and weel-tied secure footwear, such as trainers or walking boots which are ideal (no flip-flops, crocs, slippers, clogs, etc.)

  • Recommended: To wear comfortable-fitting clothes clothing appropriate for outdoor activity that you do not mind getting grubby. Clothes have to fit properly (no baggy/flappy clothing).  Pants or shorts, longer than mid-thigh as the harness can rub, are recommended. Close-toe shoes with a bit of grip are preferable.

  • No loose or excessive jewellery or scarves (rings, watches, earrings etc. have to be removed)

  • Long hair should be tied back.

  • Glasses should be secure.

  • We suggest wearing waterproof clothes or a change of clothing during wet weather days.

 

The course is open whatever the weather unless we are experiencing unusually high winds, lightning or snow!

 

Reminder: La-oh Park reserves the right to refuse admittance if the visitor does not adopt the appropriate clothing or attitude. Please do contact us with any concerns or queries.

 

NB: We do not have any secure storage facilities onsite, at the moment, so please be prepared to store valuables safely away.

 

CONDITIONS TO ENJOY TREETOP ADVENTURE

 

Be aware that the Tree Top Adventure is Self-Supervised:
La-oh park will accompany you during the Initiation Session in two steps (Briefing  + Training). Once you have completed the training session successfully, you will be responsible for your own safety during the circuit.

TOM CIRCUIT - GUIDELINES & RULES

/

     1/ Before starting

  • Must have paid the Top Tree Adventure fees and approved the liability waiver/release of liability form in signing it with your right thumbprint.

  • To have followed the explanations provided during the Briefing time.

  • During the briefing time you will be given your equipment. The guide has to check for proper fit and learn how to use the equipment. Each visitor is equipped by our care with our safety equipment and is checked before each departure on one of the circuits. Any removed equipment must be controlled by one of our guide, please ask one of them to check that it fits correctly. The use of equipment other than the one provided by La-oh Park is non-authorized.

  • In general, for all the La-oh Park visitors, to respect the whole directives and guidance instructions given by the guides and the informative panels.

  • To have carried out the Training circuit successfully, which must be validated by one of our guide. It is a compulsory condition before starting the activities.

  • Any person who, at the conclusion of the explanations of the security instructions or after the training circuit, does not feel able, physically or morally, to carry out correctly the essential handlings to evolve in an autonomous way, must give up practising the top tree activities. It is the same for any person not having made a success of the circuit

  • In general manner, the adventure practitioner must respect the whole of the instructions and directives given.

La-oh Park reserves the right to order off the course anyone who disregards the safety rules or who appears to be unable to safely complete the course. There will be no refunds if such action is required.

TAKE A RESPONSIBLE ATTITUDE IN EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE ; If you are seen to not be following the rules you will be brought down immediately.

The INITIATION SESSION (Briefing and Training) IS compulsory prior to being able to participate in TopTREE Adventure. 

FOR YOUR SAFETY, THE INITIATION SESSIONS (BRIEFING & TRAINING) ARE COMPULSORY, EVEN FOR PEOPLE, WHICH ALREADY FOLLOW IT PREVIOUSLY.

    2/ Minors’ supervision

 

 

The minors’ supervision on the Top Tree Adventure Circuit is requested. The adult supervisor must follow some rules in order to insure the safety of his/her children. An authorized and responsible adult, for children under 18 years old, must complete the Release of Liability Form / Liability Waiver for minor to register them before they can start the initiation sessions.

 

The children are necessarily accompanied of a major relative, which is in charge of him/her during the activity. He is responsible for the minor safety.

Supervising children means you must be able to see them at all times and see their safety attachments. It also means that children in your care cannot go further than one activity ahead of you.

 

The following supervision is needed by an adult aged minimum of 18 years old or above:

 

  • Children from 7 to 13 years – An adult per kid participating on the circuit (adults have to go up onto the course), we require 1 adult (minimum 18 years old) to supervise a maximum of 2 children under the age of 14.  The adult has to follow and watch them all along the Tom Circuit. The adult supervisor must follow the explanations given at the Initiation Session about the security instructions and the use of equipment.

 

  • Children from 14 to 18 years - An adult to remain on site at all times which will be responsible of them.

 

MUST LISTEN TO THE SAFETY BRIEFING ALONG WITH YOUR CHIDLREN SO YOU ARE AWARE OF WHAT IS EXPECTED OF THE CHILDREN IN YOUR CARE. YOU MUST STAY NEXT TO YOUR GROUP OF CHILDREN THROUGHT THEIR SESSION ON THE KID CIRCUIT

 

MUST ENSURE YOUR CHILDREN REMAIN ATTACHED TO THE LIFE LINE AT ALL TIMES, IF CHIDLREN ARE NOT ATTACHED TO THE LIFE LINE THEY RISK FALLING FROM HEIGHT AND CAUSING A FATAL INJURY.

 

FOR CHILDREN UNDER 14 YEARS OLD, THE SUPERVISING ADULT SHOULD STAY AT THE TOP OF THE ZIP WIRES TO ENSURE THE CHILDREN IN YOUR CARE ARE CONNECTEC CORRECTLY TO THE ZIP WIRES

 

 

     3/ During the Top Tree Adventure

 

  • The access to the tree adventure climbing is limited to the opening hours and to the visitors, which have paid the entrance fees and approved the liability waiver.

  • The access to the tree adventure climbing is forbidden for people under 1,40m length

  • Gloves and helmets are at your disposal, if you decide to not where them the La-oh Park is not responsible for any physical damage encountered.

  • You must remove all jewellery and scarves.

  • The followers have to wear shoes and clothes adapted to the activity,

 

  • Never remove the safety equipment while you are on the circuit.

  • 2 people maximum can stand on the same platform.

  • 1 person only at the time on the activities between the trees: Zipline, Surf, Bridge.

  • Everybody as to wait that the person in front of him/her has removed his/her materials from the cable before to unlock of to stain with the tree at the start of each activities.

  • Only 1 person can descend a zip wire at a time.

  • Check the landing area is clear before descending.

  • Do not jump off a platform, our zip lines are fast enough, if you jump off a platform you risk twisting and turning and impacting the landing platform.

  • Sit in your harness and slide off the platform gently, if you turn don’t panic you will be able to reach easily the platform anyway.

  • When landing relax and land feet first and bend your knees, if you bounce off the platform don’t panic you can still reach the platform in following the Guides advices.

  • Never hold onto the zip wire cable when you are sliding between the trees.

  • Read all the informative panels throughout the circuit.

  • It is strictly prohibited to stop and/or leave the circuit without the authorization and the assistance of a Guide.

  • In case of problem, to contact a Guide by any useful means.

  • When they return the equipment, participants shall indicate any serious fall or other exceptional event that occurred.

 

YOU MUST REMAIN ATTACHED TO THE LIFE LINE AT ALL TIMES, IF YOU REMOVE YOUR HARNESS, YOU RISK FALLING FROM HEIGHT AND CAUSING A FATAL INJURY.

 

DO NOT GRAB THE ROPE WHEN COMING DOWN THE ZIP LINE OR YOU RISK THE CHANCE OF GETTING ROPE BURN

 

 

THE DIRECTION RESERVES THE RIGHT

The organizing company does not ensure any responsibility in the event of non-observance by its visitors of the internal regulations or the security instructions displayed on informative panels and by the guides during the Initiation Session.
